一、教学目标:
1. 掌握一般将来时陈述句的构成和用法(will+动词原形)。
2. 能听懂、会说、会读for example, London, Oxford, Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge, the Great Barrier Reef, Stonehenge等词汇和You’ll find…等句型。
3. 围绕国家话题,巩固澳大利亚相关知识,学习英国相关的人文知识,拓展学生的国际视野。
4. 在学习过程中,培养学生搜集和处理信息的能力以及简单介绍有关国家信息的能力。
二、教学重点:
1. 重点词汇和句型的掌握及运用。
2. 拓展有关澳大利亚和英国的人文知识。
三、教学难点:
1. 掌握一般将来时陈述句的构成和用法。
2. 培养学生搜集和处理有关国家信息的能力,和把这些信息整合成语篇的能力。
四、教学步骤:
Step1 Revision
1. Greeting.
2. Revision: talk about Australia.
What is interesting in Australia? (animals, sport, cities…)
Step2 Grammar time
1. In story time, the children will also learn about Australia. What will they do before the lessons? (Mike will…)
2. Find sentences with “will” in story time. Learn: I’ll= I will/ You will= You’ll.
3. Read sentences in grammar time. Talk about the simple future tense.
4. Make a summary.
Step3 More about Australia
1. The children have different ways to learn. If you want to know more about Australia, what will you do? (I will…)
2. Find out more about Australia.
Learn: the Great Barrier Reef and Uluru.
3. Watch a video about Australia and talk about it.
Step4 Fun time
1. Australia is really an amazing country! Today I’ll tell you about another interesting country. (The UK) Introduce the map of the UK.
2. Listen and catch the key words. (weather, sport, cities, places...)
3. Learn about the UK.
Weather: rainy and foggy.
Sport: football, cycling, tennis, etc.
Interesting cities: London, Oxford and Cambridge.
Interesting places: Big Ben, London Eye, Tower Bridge,
Oxford University and Cambridge University.
4. Read fun time. Learn: for example.
5. Learn more about the UK: Stonehenge and Buckingham Palace.
6. Enjoy pictures of the UK and talk about it.
Step5 Consolidation
1. Which country do you like better? Why?
2. Writing.
Step6 Homework
1. Talk about Australia/ the UK to your friends.
2. Look for information about another interesting country (the US/ Canada/ Japan...) on the Internet.
