Unit 6 Keep our city cleanFun time, grammar time

一、教材分析: Grammar time:归纳了make+名词(宾语)+形容词(补语)的结构和情态动词can(表示可以)的新用法。教师可以设计多种情境和活动帮助学生理解和操练。Fun time:这是一个海报制作活动,要求学生运用本单元学过的句型设计和制作关于保持学校环境清洁的海报。
二、目标分析:(应包括知识、技能和情感目标)

能够四会掌握单词keep, clean, make, dirty并熟练地听说读air, smoke, rubbish, messy, dead, move … away from, bin, plant, more
2
)保护环境从身边做起,能正确地说出保护环境的措施。
三、学情分析:

学生有什么 学生对本课句型的时态已经能较好的掌握和运用;通过平时的阅读及学校的教育已经掌握了不少的环保知识。

学生缺什么 学生用英文描述城市的污染及如何从自身做起保护环境的卫生,还缺乏一定的英语知识。
四、教学重点

1)能够四会掌握单词keep, clean, make, dirty并熟练地听说读air, smoke, rubbish, messy, dead, move … away from, bin, plant, more
2
)复习巩固Story time,能正确地进行ask and answer部分的问答。
3
)能正确地说出保护环境的措施。
五、教学难点 :针对怎样保护学校的环境提出倡议。
六、教学过程:
Step1 Brain storm
1.Watch a video, then tell me: What do you think of our city?

(clean, beautiful, modern, messy, dirty, noisy, crowded)

2. Our city is beautiful most of the time. What makes our city beautiful?

(parks, trees, flowers, …)

Tip: We should use the third person singular after ”what”.
3. You know our city is beautiful. But sometimes it’s dirty. What is dirty?

(air, streets, river)

The air is dirty. What makes the air dirty?

(smoke from cars, smoke from factories)

Tips: 1. Make sb. or sth. plus adjective.

2. Rubbish and smoke are uncountable nouns. We should use the third person singular.

Step 2 Practice

1.You know our city is beautiful, clean and modern. But sometimes some places are messy, dirty, noisy and crowded. Why? Please ask and answer in pairs.

Let’s have a competition among four groups. You have only one minute.

clean: bin, cleaner

modern: shops, buildings, cinemas, zoos, museums, shopping centres

messy: rubbish, bottles, factories, plastic bags

noisy/crowded: cars, buses, motorbikes, electrombiles

2.So there are many problems in our city. Let’s have a look.

Fill in the blanks.

I believe we can make our city cleaner and more beautiful. But what can we do to keep our city clean?

We can walk to school.------ Do you walk to school? How do you go to school?

We can take the bus or metro to school.

We can plant more trees.------ Why? So we can’t climb the trees.

We can move the factories away from our city.

We can put rubbish in the bin.------Do you put rubbish in the bin?

Tips:1. Please pay attention: keep sb. or sth. adjective.

2. We can use “can” or “can’t” to give advice.

3. Now, you know what can we do or what can we not do to keep our city clean.

Let’s play a game.

Step 3 Fun time

Watch a video. How do you think of our school ? Is it beautiful ?
T: What makes our school beautiful?

Let’s talk about the beauty of our school

So, school life makes us happy.

2. Is our school beautiful and clean anytime and anywhere? Let’s have a look.

Maybe there are some problems.

Do you want our school to be cleaner and more beautiful ? What can we do to keep our school clean?

3.Drill: Is our school beautiful and clean?

What makes it…?

What can we do to keep it clean?

4.Write down the ideas on the notes, then stick it on the poster.

5.Now, you know how to keep the city or school clean.

Let’s give a speech to tell the other people our ideas. You can share your ideas together. Or each student says a paragraph.
