Step 1 Free talk:
1. This is my information card.
(1)You know my name is Bian Lixia. What’s your name, please?
(2)My favourite animal is parrot. It can talk and sing. It’s very clever. I like parrots. What do you like?
(3)My favourite food is dumpling. Dumplings are yummy. They mean get together. I like dumplings. What about you?
2. When I’m free, I like reading books and listening to music. What’s your hobby? What do you like doing?
Step 2 Presentation
1. Look, this is our friend Yang Ling. What does she like doing? Guess.
She likes writing diaries. Learn: diary
2. Do you know how to write a diary?
First, you can write about the day and the date. Learn: date
Then, don’t forget the weather. Learn: weather
Next, please write some special things.
3. This is Yang Ling’s diary. What day was it, do you know?
What date was it? Read: the 20th of September
You can read like this: September the 20th
4. How was the weather in Yang Ling’s diary? Please read the text quickly, then underline the sentences about the weather.

5.What happened that day? Let’s know the special things in the diary. Please take out the exercise paper. Let’s listen and number.
