Step 1: Greeting and warm up

T: I like singing very much, let’s learn to sing a new song, ok?
S: Ok
T: First, listen and watch carefully, and you can follow it if you want .(播放歌曲一遍)
T: Do you like the song? Now follow me.(老师带着学生用手势表现歌词内容,学生边唱边学做动作)
T: This time, let’s try to sing and do some actions together. (再次播放歌曲,学生加上动作一起唱。)
Step 2: Presentation
Show some pictures and teach the new words
(教师出示有关自己兴趣爱好的图片,可将生词融入进去,边说边做,板书词组,然后在词组前方加上I like + doing提炼出句型。)
I like dancing/ I like playing the piano/ I like singing (学生观察句型)
T: They are my hobbies.
Teach the new word: hobbies
指导学生使用英汉词典,查询hobby的含义。
What are your hobbies? (4名学生练习说句)
T: We know different people have different hobbies. Look, what do they like doing? (出示课文图片,让学生认识人物,教师板书人名进表格。)
Step 3: Story time
1. New words
(可以给课文设计情境:学校兴趣班招生了,Mike给我们介绍他和同学们的爱好和特长)
T: First, read the story by yourself and underline some words and sentences you don’t know. (鼓励学生先自主阅读课文,找出不认识的词,并使用英汉词典查阅生词,理解词意。)
Teach the new words: dance, draw, play the piano, read, sing, watch films等。
(此环节可以请学生逐个汇报自己查阅到的生词,解释含义,在老师帮助下当小老师领读)
